Act III, Log #5

Act III #5

Dear Friend Horatio,

I had a chance today, to rid of that villain once and for all. But I did not take it, for reasons being my displeasure of unneeded thought of him possibly gaining the angels help in passage to heaven! That would have been mere hire and salary and not revenge… To take his life whilst in prayer and repenting his sins would only send him to heaven, and I to hell; for his grief shall overcrowd heaven, and steal their wings for what he is capable of. Oh Horatio! T’is put such condolement to my wounded heart, how shall I cope? May God only censure his actions and deceiving ways and bring him straight to hell! My thoughts tell me if yet taking his life would indeed be revenge or my ticket to hell. I shall not allow Claudius to cozen his way to heaven, doth lose the purpose of my revenge for my father. Tell me dear honest Horatio, in what manners would I act upon to avenge my beloved king and father, in such ways so my hands are not blood-battered calling me murderer, and my death shall bring forth to not the gates of heaven yet to Hades? A place where no angels dare to touch? T’is a mighty coil in my purpose Horatio… If only his orisons did not reach heaven from this holy sanctuary, how I would have taken the villainous creature’s lasting breath with just a gentle stroke of my bare bodkin, I had my chance Horatio, and I indeed have lost it to my conscience, yet not between good and bad, yet bad and worse. I shall find a more suiting time to take his life, where his actions are not so pure, that shall indeed bring him to hell where he belongs.
